My wife and I ride to work together because we only have one car now. This morning, I had a gaseous emission that was rather acrid.

My wife was sick and unable to work from May of last year until the end of January. Short-term disability was 60% of her paycheck and after benefits there wasn't enough for all the bills. We did a rob-Peter-pay-Paul thing for a while. She didn't have LTD because she was back for less than a year when she got sick again.
We tried to make arrangements with the bank to keep it but it was a used vehicle and once we got behind, we couldn't meet their terms. Beyond that, there was a bunch of repair needed that wouldn't be covered by warranty and we didn't want to fight with them over it. We did a voluntary repo (in September) but they didn't pick up the non-running car until last month.
So we'll be shopping for a cheap pickemup truck soon — tax refund went to paying all the bills that we racked up when she was not working.
